Trophy Magnet® Brown Top Millet
Trophy Magnet® Brown Top Millet is an annual warm seeded millet that produces anabundance of small grain which is readily eaten by dove, quail, pheasant, and waterfowl. Brown Top millet grows from 2– 4 feet tall and produces grain in as little as 50 – 60 days. It can be planted either stand alone or in combination with other warm season species adding a valuable food supply for a variety of wildlife. Brown Top Millet is drought hardy and heat tolerant, but can also be planted in low areas to be flooded when mature to provide feed for waterfowl. Because of it’s very short maturity, it can be planted as late as August and still offer an ample supply of grain for wildlife making it an excellent choice for your food plot management plan. Trophy Magnet® Brown Top Millet makes an excellent plot when combined with other warm season small grains such as WGF Milo, Japanese Millet, Foxtail Millet, and Proso Millet.
Planting rate for Brown Top Millet is 12 – 15 lbs/acre.
Planting dates are June through August.
