Trophy Magnet® Austrian Winter Peas

Austrian Winter peas are a cool season annual legume that can be planted either alone or with other cool season species that will add valuable forage and increase usage of your wildlife food plots. TrophyMagnet® Austrian Winter Peas are cold hardy and will provide lush, succulent growth throughout the fall and winter, maturing in late May or early June. If allowed to go to maturity, they will produce small pods with peas in late April to early May. Trophy Magnet Austrian Winter peas are eagerly sought after by deer, turkey and other wildlife. Austrian Winter peas are legumes which are able to fix nitrogen from atmospheric nitrogen in the soil although they will also respond to nitrogen fertilizer. Seed should be inoculated with the correct Rhizobia in order to maximize nitrogen fixation. Trophy Magnet Austrian Winter peas are a great choice to plant either alone, or with other cool season species such as wheat, rye, triticale, brassicas and clovers.

Planting rate when planted stand alone is 20 lbs/acre.

Best planting dates are September through October.
