Johnston’s of Gramercy operates a bulk terminal on the Mississippi River at Mile 146 near Gramercy, Louisiana. Johnston's has operated this facility since November 1997. This facility solely handles green and calcined petroleum coke. The facility is staffed on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis to accommodate loading of barges and ships for domestic and overseas shipment.

Handling Equipment

• 1800' of conveyor system handling loading and unloading operations at a rate of 500 tons per hour.
• Automated sampling equipment for continuous sampling of product while loading for various analyses.
• 1200’ of dock frontage doubling for both barge and ship docking.
• Fixed gantry style crane equipped with a P&H trolley / 6 yard clam for discharging barges.
• Dust free load out spout for loading ships and barges. Storage Capabilities
• Green petroleum coke pad with a total capacity of approximately 150,000 tons.
• Two domes with a combined storage capacity of 60,000 tons of calcined coke.
