‘A Plus’ is blend of 90% tall fescue and 10% Kentucky bluegrass

‘A+’ is an excellent choice for Oklahoma. The blending of fescue and bluegrass takes advantage of the drought hardiness of tall fescue and the wear tolerance and brown patch resistance of Kentucky bluegrass. A great choice for all applications.

SEEDING RATES:
Overseeding existing turf: 4-6 lbs/1000 sq. ft.
New Seeding lawns, parks: 8-10 lbs/1000 sq. ft.
PLANTING AND SOIL PREPARATION:
Prepare a smooth firm seedbed free of weeds, sticks and large clods. Plant at 1/4 of an inch deep, or broadcast and pack or lightly rake seed in. The soil should be kept moist but not to he point of standing water. Under ideal conditions, germination should take place within 7-14 days.

FERTILITY:
2-3 lbs of Nitrogen per 1,000 sq. ft.or a 0.5 lbs of nitrogen per month during the active growing period.
Watering after establishment should be deep soil watering for maximum root depth development watering in the heat of the summer to
keep green longer should be a light watering during the heat of the day to cool the turf off.

MOWING:
Mowing should be kept at a 2-3 inches and is not recommended to remove more than one third of the total plant height.
